Deciding if an iron infusion is worth it

Cost is only part of the picture — the right treatment depends on your ferritin, your symptoms, and whether tablets have worked. These pages help you weigh it up.

Iron infusion cost — common questions

A private iron infusion at IronOx Clinic costs £699 for IronOx 500 (500mg) or £899 for IronOx 1000 (up to 1000mg). Both are all-inclusive — clinical assessment, the infusion, post-infusion monitoring, a complimentary hyperbaric oxygen therapy session, and a GP report within 24 hours. There are no hidden fees.

Your initial consultation is completely free — no deposit, no card taken at booking, no obligation. You only pay for treatment if, after assessment, an infusion is the right next step for you.

Many clinics quote a per-vial 'from' price that excludes consultation, blood tests, monitoring, or follow-up — so the real total is higher than advertised. Our price is the total price: everything for the treatment in one figure, published openly.

A single session delivers up to 1000mg. If your clinically calculated dose needs more, the additional same-course top-up infusion is £300. Dr Ros confirms your exact dose at consultation before anything is booked.

Yes. Because the consultation is free with no deposit, you only pay when treatment goes ahead — on the day of your infusion. The price you're quoted is the price you pay.

If you have recent blood results (within 6 weeks), bring them and you may not need further testing. If you need an iron panel with us, comprehensive blood testing is £145 as a separate service.
